STILL LIFE

This is my favourite subject matter to paint. I love experimenting with different textures and colours. I appreciate the beauty in how light reflects and shines through different surfaces. Mostly I love how every day objects can tell a story. From two coffees on a table where lovers share a conversation, to two burning cigarettes left in an ashtray forgotten. The viewer is left to wonder what is going on outside of the subject matter. Who’s story is this telling?
